The Testo 770-3 clamp ammeter is ideal for demanding measurement tasks, especially in tight spaces where dense wires make it difficult to grasp one of them. The movable arm of the measuring clamps can be fully retracted into the meter housing, thus creating a so-called ‘hook’ that allows one of the wires to be grasped and then the clamp arms to be closed.
Thanks to the improved resolution, highly precise results are also generated in the lower current range. The Testo 770-3 also has an extended voltage measurement range of up to 1,000 V.
In addition, the Testo 770-3 clamp meter allows several specialised measurements, such as the measurement of inrush current, device power or ionisation current in µA. An additional adapter also allows temperature measurement (using a K-type TC sensor, available separately).
The clamp ammeter automatically recognises and selects the type of current to be measured: alternating or direct current, and it can also measure other electrical quantities such as resistance, wire continuity, diode test or capacitor capacitance.
The measured values can be clearly displayed on the display of the clamp meter and in the Testo Smart App. The Testo 770-3 clamp meter can be quickly and easily connected to the Testo Smart App and other Testo measuring instruments via Bluetooth. In the app, the measurement curve can be displayed as a graph on a smartphone/tablet and readings can be saved and sent directly in a report.
